Fly In, Camp Out: The Hassle Free Way to Destination Camping

The best part of visiting a National Park is getting to stay in it. Immersing yourself in nature doesn't have to be difficult. Read more for my guide and tips on how to fly into your destination and camp out.

☁︎ LET’S DIVE IN —

Hi there. I’m Julia Leung.

One day, I had an epiphany (which included lying on the floor and crying) that led to a series of decisions that completely changed my life and challenged my way of thinking.

I left my corporate career and set off to travel in the midst of a worldwide pandemic ( great timing right?) in search of finding the answers to living a fulfilling life.

Here, you can find the lessons and knowledge I’ve gained thus far in the form of various writings, personal development stories and travel adventures.

I hope you enjoy constantly evolving with me. ☼

Big city vibes in Guadalajara feels exciting. Instant gratification is everywhere: tons of vegan restaurants, markets to get lost in, benches to perch upon, street art to admire...The first day I was here, I immediately felt resistance and wanted to leave but I had booked three nights and instead of canceling, I rode it out. Isn’t it always like that? Initial resistance and then you end up surrendering to the experience? Somehow, this city has grown on me. Chatting with locals with my limited Spanish, learning about the jazz nights, speakeasies, $21 peso drinks and getting lost in the labyrinth of tree lined streets with gorgeous architectural buildings. It’s been a quieter existence here, with a lack of a built up backpacker scene compared to the previous cities and towns I’ve been in and grateful I get a chance to unplug from travelers and experience something different. Just a few more days here before I bop off to my next destination.
