I’ve been reading a bunch of brain-bending texts that have shifted my perspective of reality and expanded me in many ways that words can’t summarize. I believe myself to be a prolific writer (whether they are any good or not depends on the reader) and I realized that most of the best ideas/thoughts/experiences cannot be summarized in its entirety with words. But, the curse of the writer, we will always do our best to do so. To share parts of our journeys to share knowledge, inspire, enlighten, nourish…
Anyways, the two books I recently read were “Bringers of Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians” by Barbara Marciniak and “Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah” by Richard Bach.
If you know me in some sort of personal capacity or end up on this blog, chances are you’re open minded enough to absorb some “new age-y” information. There’s a fine link between the mystical and the scientific and perhaps they are two different languages that explain the same thing.
So the point of this whole thing is for me to tell you: you are a powerful creator. Your thoughts, emotions, beliefs and words create the reality that you experience. Basically, it’s the Law of Attraction. Like attracts like. Whatever you think, feel, believe and speak is what your life will be like.
You know, like if you’re late for work and you’re rushing and upset and then there’s traffic or something keeps you from being late and then the whole day you’re just stuck in this terrible mood? Or maybe you’re super happy and then everything just goes right for you. You have the best convos, maybe something wonderful comes into your experience (like a free coffee) and everything is just grand.
I want to expand on this with some notes that I read in these two texts. I’ll keep them as simple as possible, as they sparked remembrance as I read them.
- All answers lie within you – Don’t look for answers or ideas outside of yourself. Everything you need is inside. Sometimes you may need to slow down, stop or be in stillness to receive them. Sometimes they may not come right when you need them. You might be on a walk or having fun and then suddenly a solution comes to you.
- Everyone creates their own reality (including suffering) – Choose joy! But you are free, so you can choose anything. Why on earth would anyone choose to struggle? Same reason people choose to watch a certain type of movie: to experience the satisfaction of overcoming a challenge, to understand how to transmute dark to light.
- Focus on your own life – Everyone is creating their own individual realities. Meaning, there are currently 8.1 billion people on this earth. We have 8.1 billion unique personal realities going. Others may be going through their own dramas, as you are yours. Have empathy but avoid getting sucked into someone elses’. Stay centered.
- EFFORTLESS AND EASY – Release the idea that life is difficult. That is a paradigm that doesn’t really serve you. Why would you want to struggle? Again, free will is your choice. Imagine and think that life is easy and effortless for you. If something requires too much work or doesn’t feel good, then stop doing it. Find something else.
- Be Intentional – Notice the items you have in your home. Are they sacred things? Do they have meaning to you? Keep those that do and donate/sell the rest. It’s not minimalism (unless you choose). You can have as many things as you like. As long as they have meaning to you.
- Live A Happy Life – Live a life that feels good to you and makes you happy. Not a life that impresses others.
- Argue for your limitations and they are yours – You decide what your boundaries are limits are. If you say you can’t or come up with excuses, then you are limiting yourself. Release this and realize you are limitless.
- We are all free to do whatever we want to do.
- You can only control yourself – Notice in what ways you need someone else to make you happy? Or when you want to control someone else’s actions. You are only in charge of you. Everyone is only in charge of themselves.
- “Don’t be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.”
― Richard Bach, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah
There are moments in this life where I don’t know what to say. But whenever I am presented with a blank canvas – whether that is a paint canvas, a piece of paper or a word document, it seems as if all the colors and words spill out of me with the force of a current that was impeded by a dam and that dam was suddenly removed.
It is a strong force – like that of a waterfall after a lengthy rainy season. Lush and roaring and most of the time, the contents of this information stay sloshing around in my mind. As my physical body stays composed, still and contains all of the life within, it constantly receives information from all sorts of spaces. There is information that comes from the ethers – knowings that I learned in other planes, other timelines, other spaces, where the knowledge is pertinent now. Sometimes I feel like a scribe for some unseen force that is utilizing this current earthly body. It thinks: ah, what a perfect portal in space/time. This is the person to do this.
And it also seems as if I am coming home to myself again. Recently, I have been experiencing a lot of frustration, anger and impatience. It seems as if this body and mind wants to already be where it needs to be. It is frustrated that the process on this earthly realm is taking so damn long. It thinks: But in other planes where I exist, it is instantaneous. It already is. It is done and I am there.
It is an infuriating process to know that what you want already exists and that you have to work within these certain laws of being in a physical plane like earth. It seems as if I want to move faster than the speed of light. Like I want to drive 85 MPH on a highway but there is bumper to bumper traffic and I am nauseous and impatient and already want to be there.
Anyways, besides all of that, I read some texts recently that really expanded my perspective and beliefs. And, perhaps, it reminded me already of what I know deep down.
You create your own reality.
That’s the sparks notes version of it all.
There’s a nuanced process to this and it first begins with observing. Observing you and everything you think, say and do. It begins with noticing what you’re saying, what thoughts pass by in your mind, what beliefs you build your world with.
And it’s frustrating and messy and annoying. Because then you start to notice how much work there is to be done. And the only person that can do this work is yourself. On yourself.
If you ever sit at the beach or you’re on a boat and you’re in the middle of the ocean and you notice that the blue sky and the blue waters meet at this horizon and it just seems expansive and endless and eternal…well, that’s pretty much what creation is. That’s what life is. It just goes on and on and on. It is limitless. You are limitless. You are the only person that sets up the boundaries of what you create in life. Most of the time, these limits are imposed based off structures of fear that were perhaps taught to you or picked up somewhere along in your journey.
So you start to notice the things you say that limit, disempower and devalue yourself.
Sometimes it’s small. You look at someone or something and think, “Oh, I can’t do that. I can’t have that.” Maybe it’s something like, “If I don’t work hard, three jobs, save every single penny, then I’ll never be rich”, or “they only have that because they were born into it”. You notice all these little things and then you start to get angry once you become aware and conscious because What The Hell!! Life can be so easy and here I am, setting up these obstacles to make my life harder. What am I even struggling for?
Why would you even want to struggle? Well, I guess sometimes it’s because you want to experience the contrast and relief of when you’re not struggling. It’s like shoveling snow for hours outside on a really cold day and then you go inside, take off all those wet clothes and then hop into a steamy shower. It’s like that. Because the contrast of it feels so good.
Anyways, we humans do silly little things like that with our lives because sometimes it’s fun. Sometimes it’s to learn a lesson. Sometimes it’s to practice and fortify something we already know. Anyways, there are an infinite amount of reasons why we do things. But, really, there is a better way.
Your life can be easy, effortless and happy. If you choose. Because the name of the game really is choice. You get to choose everything. You are the creator, designer and player in the game of life. You construct what you want to experience and happen in your life. You choose your preferences. You label what is good, bad, beautiful, ugly. You choose what to include in your experience. It’s a lot of responsibility and it can be overwhelming because once you realize you are the Creator, you have no one else to blame. Because it’s really easy to say, “hey, my life sucks because of my boss and these people and my parents” but it’s not so easy to say, “hey, I’m responsible for allowing this in my life and focusing on this and making this a big deal and choosing to believe this”. Because no one wants to be held accountable for their own shit.
But guess what? It’s your shit and you gotta own up to it.
Maybe this is controversial but I believe that everyone is selfish. Every human deserves to be selfish because we each have our own unique desires. Not to say everyone is out for themselves because as we have our independent dreams and realities, we also play in a larger scale cooperative and interdependent realm.
Anyways, choose happiness, joy, love, peace, contentment, excitement, fun, adventure. Everything else, relax, let it go, watch it leave like a cloud in the sky and disperse. It will leave your experience.
And isn’t it scary to realize you have so much power within you? Have fun with it.
