Something about following my heart brings about a frightening experience. Scary because it feels unknown…because following your heart means to risk vulnerability and opening yourself up to the risk of being hurt. Especially when you’ve done it before and been hurt before.
The difference is, some 13 years later, I now have the tools and self confidence to finish what I started. Because I’m as ready as I’ll ever be. Because I guess this is the whole reason my whole life shifted. Seeds planted long ago, chance encounters, synchronicities, uprooting everything to start anew. From a purer place of love – it feels as if I am entering a new timeline. And I read something, again, that goes along the lines of: It is not our greatest fear that we fail/are inadequate. The contrary…it is our greatest fear that we are successful beyond measure. It is our fear that we have everything we desire. That are actually worthy of the dreams that live within our soul.
Yet there comes a point in your life where you must realize and decide for yourself to stop living a life that is only half lived and to start, despite your fears, walking along a new path…making a new choice to really live it.
Now, to be authentic and honest regardless of whatever judgements arise within you or without.
You must really be honest with yourself. Because you owe it to you. There is nothing scarier than to reach the end of your days and to say, “Well, I wish I would’ve done this/that…I wish…”
Because no one really knows when their journey ends. And then it’s too late. All your fears about your dreams don’t amount to the realization of a wasted and unlived life.
You do the same thing every day. You are the same person. Perhaps it is enough.
But who would you be? What would your life look like? If you were the ‘you’ who you truly wished to be?
To break free from the conditioning of the life you’ve been raised in and to decide for yourself.
That is the most important thing. That you choose.
Because freedom means you are the one who is solely responsible for actualizing your dreams into fruition. It means you’re responsible for your thoughts, feelings, emotions and focus. There is no one else responsible for bringing your dream into fruition, though this doesn’t mean that others won’t help you and you won’t help others.
And isn’t it scary? To know that you’re the steward of your own desires? You’re the only one blocking them or preventing them?
Sometimes you feel like you are on the precipice of something big happening in your life. That you are about to enter the reality where your chosen fate and destiny awaits you. And you must be extremely clear headed, conscious, centered and courageous. As much as possible.
Tell yourself, “I am ready,” and believe it.
